Hey guys kloe here....
So this post is gonna be my first international food review yay*Gives my sad self a high five ✋*, Last Sunday ( the 23rd of April) my family and I went to what can only be considered our farewell dinner in Portugal and we decided to try Wildfire smokehouse and grill just down the road from our house on the villa sol roundabout if any of you know the Algarve the you may of heard of wildfire , back to the blog I hope all the foodies like myself enjoy this post .
LET’S EAT * THROUGH PICTURES 🔥*
As we arrived we arrived we were greeted by the lovely staff at wildfire and given complementary prosecco champagne which I didn’t like so I gave mine to my mum that being said I don’t really like champagne or wine so I’m not just being picky.
We were then showed to our outdoor table which was lovely and the flower decorations were effortless and brought the whole place to life , there was a kids cinema which we were told does face painting films obviously and many more fun kids activities which my five year old niece loved .
On Sundays they do three course Sunday roast costing just €20 for adults and €10 for children here's what you can choose from ....
Smoked chicken Caesar salad
Vegetables cream ( soup )
Goats cheese bruscheta with honey and nuts
Before our starter arrived one of the wildfire staff brought out white and brown bread with carrot purée and also butter the carrot purèe was really nice actually it was different than anything I'd had on bread before and it was a nice difference.
I chose the Caesar salad as I didn't like goat's cheese and I didn’t fancy the vegetable soup I loved the Caesar salad and I thought the bowl was so Instagram worthy anyway back to the Caesar salad the only thing was the sauce had a hint of vinegar that being said I could tell it was freshly made instead of brought in all in all its probably better for me , I took a picture of my dad’s coats cheese to show you guys and my dad seemed to enjoy it .
Roast leg of lamb, rosemary jus , roast potatoes & vegetables
Roast rib eye of beef, Yorkshire pudding, horseradish sauce, roast potatoes & vegetables
Cod fish with cream
I chose the Roast rib eye of beef ( roast dinner ) they’re really wasn’t a choice for me maybe that’s the brit in me and boy it wasn’t a bad choice it was lovely and when we ordered we were asked our preference of how we’d like it cooked I like my beef ( steak) burnt so I had mine well done and with the red cabbage it was a nice touch , I loved that there was a nice size Yorkshire pudding on my plate. The horseradish too roast beef wouldn’t be the same with out it and it came in the cutest little plant pot , this is definitely my go to place for a good British roast !
I was persuaded to have the only alcoholic drink I like Apple Somersby with ice I’m glad I gave in it was a lovely touch on this sunny day .
Apple crumble with vanilla ice cream
I chose one of my favourite desserts of all time Apple crumble I never once considered a different desert Apple crumble was heavenly and it was presented on a black slate I took a picture before I dug in as i couldn't wait any longer to tuck in and the Apple crumble met all my expectations and more and I could just eat one right now ! .
One of my sister sammi had peach melba which looked quite nice and my parents and sammi’s boyfriend Mark too had banana split they liked it but they thought it had too much sauce and cream but as I say there’s always room for improvement.
If your ever in Portugal Particularly in the Algarve you should check out wildfire you definitely won’t regret it , on days except Sundays they have a normal menu that you can choose from which I’m going to go check out soon....
