Hi guys kloe here ….
It feels so long ago since I did a make up look and I was drawn to this idea thinking about my mums childhood and the fashion and make up that went along with it so this make up look will be a look from the swinging 60’s , I’m excited to welcome back my twin sister a my model for this 60’s inspired look with the hair too enjoy !
I only use the cheapest brands but they’re good quality for they’re low prices the only thing that’s usually the most exspensive is the eye shadow . I’m not closing the door on under make up looks under £10 I will still do them but for big looks like this I’ll do them for under £20 on it but for simpler looks I’ll do them under £10 if that makes sense .
Look : 60’s style make up
Style :Cat eye

Before we get started into the 60’s make up tutorial please do your usual foundation & concealer routine , for anyone who’s wondering what routine I did for Mariah I applied concealer under Mariah eye then used my concealer brush to rub in the concealed area she doesn’t need concealer but I used it for a more neater look ( I basically made that up haha) then I applied the foundation with my brush .
When I was applying Mariahs foundation I applied a little bit on her eye lids acting as a primer which I haven’t got with me at the moment so I used foundation instead but you can use a primer if you have one on hand .
I then applied fishtail green to the whole of Mariahs eye lids ,it’s up to you how much you decide to apply to your eye lids and how far up you want to cover , I know different people’s eyes are set in different to they’re faces and more importantly apply how much you feel comfortable .
I started by applying pencil eyeliner to Mariahs waterline but as some of you know it’s harder to apply it to someone else’s waterline so Mariah applied it to her waterline and it was much easier and I love how it looks its really great way to make your eyes POP .
I then applied felt tip eyeliner to Mariahs eyelid near her lash line starting from the corner of her eye then applying it to the outer edge of the eye lid into a point then without removing my felt pen bringing it back in a stopping at the middle then I coloured in the area that I’d must drawn and I’m really pleased how it went then I applied this same routine to my left eye I’m not gonna lie I had trouble with the point on that one but with persistence I got they’re and so will you . I've never used this felt pen before but with persistence and a little bit of of stressing i got there , its up to you if you used liquid , pencil or like the pen I used to apply the cat eye .Then i got mariah to apply her own mascara as this is slmething else i find tricky doing on others .
It’s time for lipstick I decided on this Number 5 hot pink lipstick from Primark to finish the look it felt as if I’d been transformed into the sixties it brought the whole look together . I did try a little back combing for some sixties hair as I didn't have my volumising inserts that I would have used if I had them with me and after Mariahs speech about how long it’s taken her to grow her hair we decided just to do a simple high ponytail so it looked a little more sixties. Maybe I’ll do a sixties hair tutorial soon ?
I hope you guys have enjoyed this post about sixties make up , I hope this helps you in some way I never claim I’m a make up artist I’m only starting my make up journey as well but with practice and a lot of persistence we can do this ladies. If you guys would like to know more about the products i have used in this tutorial feel free to contact me x
Until next time happy reading
