Hi guys kloe here....
I’ve been wanting to start this monthly blog for a while now, I was going to post it months ago but I had a little break out and even though foundation covers it I didn’t feel great about myself. When I first thought back in January ( I just looked to be sure ) that a lot of girls like myself hate paying extortionate prices for a look that is cheap if you know where to look *winks* .
My twin sister Mariah bought me a book for Christmas on makeup looks from natural to catwalk so most looks will be from the book 10 minute make up looks by Boris entrup ( link available at the bottom ) .
For photography purposes my twin sister Mariah has offered to be my model I’ll leave a link to her blog at the bottom of this post.
Style: sweet grey
Look number : 11
1.Revolution redemption palette hot smoked £4 from superdrug
2.Foundation £3 from Primark
3.Mascara £1 from Primark
4.Lipstick ( desert sand ) 90p from Primark
Overall cost *Drum roll * £ 8.90
Brushes you’ll need
X 1 foundation brush
X1 eyeshadow brush
X 3 cotton buds
Before we get into the look i just wanted to say that the foundation I’m using isn’t my usual one the reason I’m using this foundation is because I need use it up as it’s not the perfect colour for me that’s the only thing about Primark foundation as it’s colours are very limited.
I like to apply a cream to my face as it makes the foundation apply and look smoother this isn’t in the book but It’s something that’s low costings and good for the skin too win win .
I start applying my foundation to my face starting from my chin to my forehead I find its easier in places to use my fingers as I’m not going to lie i rarely use a brush to apply my foundation but I’m trying to use brushes, I also apply a little bit of foundation to my eye lids as it acts as a primer .
I start to apply the grey eyeshadow from my redemption palette starting from the inner to the outer corner as it tells you to do in the book then apply some to the upper lid and the lash line , I like to start light with the eyeshadow as I like to apply more in moderation but it depends on how you like to wear your eyeshadow.
This mascara applies really well once it’s applied it kind of looks like fake lashes sometimes and it’s definitely worth the price and like the waterproof mascara too , I start with the top lashes then I move onto my bottom lashes applying a little at a time and as I said on step three apply how much you like I like a little bit but not a lot on my bottom lashes .
In the book it says you can apply blusher now I’m not going to as one I don’t have one and I don’t wear it at the moment but if you would like to wear blusher then apply to your cheek bones for a natural and radiant look .
I love this shade , desert sand is a kind of discrete colour but you can tell that your wearing it , I start at my cupid bow when applying this lipstick and work my way to the corners to my lips, A tip from the book is that if you blot with a tissue then reapply the lipstick will last longer.
Turn the look into night
If you like this look and would like to turn it into a night look then apply some glitter eyeliner which you can pick up from poundland for an obvious pound (for anyone wondering) it applies really well and lasts a long time for a pound.
